Educational Programs

The Commemoration Commission has coordinated educational programs to further promote the French and Indian War and its unique history. Past educational programs held by the Commemoration Commission have included:

  • "Fleur-de-lys and Tomahawks" - graduate course for teachers at Fort Ticonderoga in 2006 (30 participants); and at Fort Ticonderoga and Fort Niagara in 2007 (20 participants in each) [partnering with Living History Education Foundation].
     
  • Western Frontier symposium, October 2007. "Agents of Change in Colonial New York: Sir William Johnson's World" (anticipating 250 participants) [partnering with Mohawk Valley Heritage Corridor, Fulton-Montgomery Community College, et al.].
